About this speaker

Nina Hart is the founder of Writing from the Top of Your Head workshops, a unique method that blends creativity coaching with intuitive, liberatory writing practices. This fall, she’ll be offering a Facilitator Training that certifies writers to teach their own six-week WFTH workshops—helping students quiet the inner critic, release creative shame, and reawaken a sense of play in the writing process. This empowering training gives facilitators both a core curriculum and the freedom to shape it around their own voice, passions, and teaching goals—whether for schools, community centers, or beyond.

Nina is a certified Gateless Method writing teacher and Kaizen-Muse creativity coach, with additional inspiration drawn from educational theorists like Paulo Freire. Her first surreal collection of short fictions, Somewhere in a Town You Never Knew Existed Somewhere, was a Foreword Reviews IndieFab finalist. She’s also a longtime performer and serves on the board of Asheville’s Story Parlor. In June 2025, she’ll be leading a 10-day WFTH retreat in Scotland!
